![]() ![]() ![]() Big Sur still allows to load kexts they are just not advertising it, kexts have to be manually added from restore mode or whatever is called. Right now i have downgraded to Little Snitch 4.6 on ObDev's advice (from their website). /rebates/&252flittle-snitch-android. However, ObDev knew about this, and they still took my money for the upgrade knowing their product was useless against the apple process whitelist and didn't disclose this until somebody else on twitter cried foul. GlassWire is used by over 20 million people across the globe. This is not a little snitch problem per se, apple discontinued kernel extensions and instead required all traffic filters to be reimplemented in user space to make sure its processes are not affected by filters. GlassWire is a modern, personal firewall and network monitor software for Android and Windows. These processes cannot be firewalled or tunneled. Little Snitch Mini can be used for free to monitor outbound network connections from a Mac, but connection blocking and other features require a premium subscription. I bought a license for Little Snitch 5.0 prior to my update to Big Sur, just to find that it doesn't block a set of 50 something processes from apple, and these processes can be hijacked quite easily by an attacker. After Little Snitch Mini, the little brother of Little Snitch’s network watchdog, began beta testing late last year, the app became available for download on the Mac App Store. ![]()
